CAMS PROBLEM!!!!

Hello every one..Good Sunday to ya....Not to me thou ....Let me ask...I have a 03gt....SOHC 2v 4.6 ...And I bought some cams from a guy who had a 99 saleen SOHC 2V 4.6...but when I put the cams in the Lifters want stay in it's like the lobes are smaller...is there a different head on the 2 mustang?

99 - mid year 01 had Windsor PI heads.
Mid year 01 - 04 had Romeo PI heads.
Is my problem

I though the cams where same from Windsor to Romeos

were they stock spec or custom grind cams, if they were custom grind you may need new lifters or valve springs or something of that sort.

2003 Redfire & Black V6. Full suspension, 8.8 w/ 4.10s, tuned. 4.3L built for turbo + turbo capable of 550 hp on the way

DD: 2015 SHO PP, CAI, Axlebacks, Tune,blacked out/AMR wheels. 12.87 @107 1/4 mile (1.8 60')
