Flex Cooling Fan

I have an 89 lx 5.0 and am considering upgrading to a flexlite cooling fan which is supposed to flaten out at high rpm causing less drag. Does anyone have any opinions on this subject??

Only that I went to dual electric fans on my 86 and it definately helped out. I didnt go with a name brand though I got these out of a junkyard and did the wiring myself. Coolant temp runs around 185 and when it gets to 190 my fans come on until it goes back down to 185.

If I had it to do over though I would probably have just gone with an aftermarket brand like flexlite for the smooth looks.

Mine works but not in traffic. I don't think it is the fan. I need a fan shroud.
