How Much Boost?

I have a 89 hatchback that has a vortech T trim on it. right now im only running 7LBS of boost for now but I would like to up it. It is a 302 punched out to 306 it has forged internals with windsor jr. heads, 520 cam, ported and polished cobra intake, a 1 to 1 fuel pressure regulator. it has a SCT chip that has a custom tune on it. How much boost can I run. Also how much more boost can I run without messing up the tune to much.

If you have all the good internals, you can boost up 13-15 lbs with no problem. I had both a t-trim and a 17 lb ic procharger with my 331 combo. You will def. have to retune with extra boost.

I think 42's will be alright with around 13psi, just make sure your Fuel Pres. doesnt drop off. I would highly recommend a new tune before you get on it at all after a pulley swap.
