Max PSI On Stock Motor?

I have a KB 1500 running 6psi on my otherwise stock 93 5.0, and was wondering what the maximum boost a stock motor can safely handle?

You could probably go with about 8 psi as long as you don't put the pedal to the metal all the time.

i'd get other mods just incase.....if sumthing does happen it'll cost as much as the bolt ons and others...only difference witht he other mods you'll be much faster and safe probably. where as if u leave it stock but the s/c and sumthin happens...u gotta pay for repairs...and ur not going any faster

I would say if you had a good fuel system (better fuel pump than stock) and the timing was conservative you would be able to run 10-12 psi. How many miles on the engine? What else is done besides gears? (on a side note... to be safe 6-8 psi is good but you bought the KB for performance right? why not push it a little?)

I have an aftermarket fuel pump in the tank. (225l/h I think) The motor only has 60k on it and is in tip top shape. I wasn't thinking about going nutso, just maybe 8psi or so.

Well, dont forget that you do not have forged pistons. Also, how much boost you have depends on what your setup is like. Boost is just a measurement of restriction so if you have a nice set of heads, intake, etc. you will make less boost than the guy with a stock motor with the same exact supercharger. Not saying you will make less power but less boost. Also, you can safely run about 12psi on a hyper piston motor... just make sure that you have it tuned by a professional and everyting is on the safe side.
