Loudest System For A 2004 3.8 V6
I was looking to put a new exhaust system on my 2004 v6 and wanted to know what systems create the loudest and deepest sound without sounding crappy at high RPMs.

do you have emissions testing?
if you do not have emissions testing: mac long tube headers mac off road short H pipe mac cat back for GT model of same year if you do have emissions: mac high flow catted H pipe or ProChamber mac cat back for GT model of same year

Hey man dont go too loud with a V6 stang, people will laugh at u, I know, I knew a guy that did that and me and some other guyz just laughed at him everytime he drove by hittin the throttle, its not too corny makin a V6 car sound more beefy, but it becomes really corny when someone makes one really loud, please dont take offense, im just tryin to save u from being laughed at..........................actually its kindof corny to make regular stock V8 stangs really loud too cuz a car should be pretty fast with mods before someone makes it loud, I know this also cuz Im guilty, I did that very thing with my 86' stang back home

See if you can get a tru dual exhaust set up for it and put a H pipe and some magnapacks on there. Don't worry about other mustang owners laughing at you. Stangers are cocky people by nature. LOL There always going to find somebody to pick on. Remember the true target; intimidating ricers. :wink

Will an aftermarket H pipe sound any different than a shop connecting my existing duals?

I just had a true dual exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster 40s installed and it is LOUD!
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to deal with how loud and resonating it is. |

I don't know about the laws where you guys live, but in Minnesota it is pretty much impossible to take off stock cats and put in hi-flow cats. From what I remember they say that they can only be changed if:
- Car has over 50,000 miles - Cats still pass emission testing - Documentation of the change must be in the vehicle until it reaches 100,000 miles - STOCK CATS CANNOT BE CHANGED FOR ANY REASON UNLESS THEY HAVE STOPPED FUNCTIONING PROPERLY (This last one really made the change impossible) Hence, the midpipe I'm putting in is meant to be installed after the stock cats. It sucks, but the only way to go if you want to stay legal here.... I've heard good things about Mac exhaust systems... also heard that Flow 40's can drone pretty bad on the highway. Still, from videos I've seen they both seem to sound pretty nice at low RPM's. Have yet to hear Magnaflows....
