Vortech Supercharger, Whats A Safe Pulley Size...

Ive replaced the stock pulley awhile ago with a 2.87 I however think i might be able to go one step lower. I would like to go with a 2.62. According to vortech i believe i read somewhere, the max rpm for the blower internally is 50,000rpm and there is a utility to calculate where your at. Even if i was to shift at 4900 max which usually its lower since 4500-5000rpm is crap anyway with stock cam, its showing i hit 47,000rpm. Now granted generally im going to be shifting at more like 4600rpm that put its at 44,244rpm which seems fairly safe. Does anyone know how close i can get to the max rpm and be safe. I have no interest in blowing it up but if somone with more knowledge then i can tell me what would be safe itd be greatly appreciated.

You've got a 2.87 pulley and your belts not slipping like crazy? You got an 8 rib kit? How much boost are you seeing? PS - 4600 rpm is way too low to shift, your loosing out on alot of power having to drop to like 2500 rpm between shifts. Even with the non-PI setup you'd be better off going to at least 5,500 rpm. Do you have a dyno sheet?
