is there anyway to tighten the slack on the handle at all, it lifts up about 1/2inch before engaging

ugh, i just got mine fixed, nip it in the butt now, the metal around the bolts is super super thin, and when i pulled up on my ebrake the bolt ripped right out of the metal and left a hole there, I had to make a plate, with a bolt welded on it and stick it there for a temporary fix, but then I welded another metal plate there, fed the bolt through and now it is fixed for good, alot tighter. Might be worth the time making sure its not that thin metal starting to bend...
