yupp! but is it true if you put syn. in you have to stick with it you cant switch back? just somthing my rearded real dad told me

You can switch back and forth all you want and you can even mix them together.

You hear stuff like that all the time, but if you think about it, it makes more since that its your seals that need to be replaced if you get a leak, not that you are switching which oil you use. I have switched back and forth a few times when for numerous dumb reasons (not enough cash on me for synthetic or I just didn't give a shit) and I have never had a leak because of it.

what kinda oil would you recomend in a 1986 jeep with a 2.8li V6? yeah the BIG chevy engine. lol

i use Castrol GTX 5w-20 (conventional) and half a quart of Marvel Mystery OilŪ filled a quart low over all.

more important than syn/reg is the weight. run whatever your engine calls for, or your rings will suffer. also make sure it meets the manufacturers required specs.
