Swirls in Paint

I have noticed a lot of swirls in my paint lately and am sure it's from the last time I got the car waxed, the only problem is that was in a different state and I need to get it fixed. I would hope to be able to do it at home but am unsure of the right product or if there are any tips to make the swirls less visible other than getting it buffed by the dealer.... any tips of products or how to would be greatly appreciated!

i use meguiar's, works for me
1. wash it
2. use paint cleaner
3. claybar with paint cleaner as lubricant
4. rubbing compound
5. polishing compound
6. wax

NOTE: when using rubbing compound, be sure to only move in a front to back motion, DO NOT swirl when buffing
also: work in small areas at a time, do not apply the compound to the whole car and then buff it out, work on one section of one panel at a time
after that your paint will be looking as good as new (with the obvious exceptions of chipped paint & such
also: make sure not to get any rubbing/polishing compound or wax on trim pieces i.e. fake scoops etc

any questions just shoot me a pm, i have a fair amount of detailng experience as i detail aircraft occasionally on the weekends
