Wanting To Mod A 3.8

I have a 2000 3.8 with 114,000 miles on it and i was wanting to start modding it a little but my sister boyfriend who is a mechanic says it would be stupid it with it having that many miles on it so i was wondering what every body else thought

yeah mod it don't listen to him. I was just reading an article where they took a shortblock with 200,000 miles on it and made crazy hp with a h,c,i and a turbo.

if the engine is in good working order mod it, if it has problems get it fixed first.an engine is just an air pump the more efficiently it works the more power you make.start with a CAI,TB,and an exhaust.maybe a tuner and gears too depending on how far you wanna go
