Changing Rear Brake Pads Help!

i am trying to change the rear brake pads yesterday on my 2003 mustang, just a regular v6, but i ran in to a lot of problems. do you take off the spring for the ebrake when you turn the piston back in place? well, i did to one side and it's pain in to ass try to get it on. but i was able turn the piston back in. Now on the other side, i didn't take the spring off, and i was not able to turn the piston back. do i have to clamp and turn at the same time or do i have to take the ebrake spring off like the other one's? please help, i am really stuck.

you must not have the ebrake enabled. the ebrake locks the rear brakes up. you must turn the piston back in to the caliper. just grab some pliers and all your strength and screw it back in, if this does not work, autozone sells a tool made specifically to do this

I would buy the part from orielly's or autozone because youll have it incase you change your brakes again. Yea its an pain but its not that bad. The tool goes on the end of an rachet, so just clamp the brake down and screw it down just like your tightening an regular screw. The e-barke is easier when its off, the take an pair of pliers....channel locks work good, and pull the ebark cable out of the holder, then take thelittle ring off that holds it in place. It slides out with a little force. The you know the rest, and it obvious how to put it back. Hope this helped you. And the part is no more than 10 bucks if i remeber correctly.
