235/45/17 noticeable differnence than 245/45??

I just got a set of 17" Stock Rims off of a 1999 Mustang GT for my 98 with stock 15's. I need to get another set of tires for them, and I was wondering if a set of 235/45Z/R17's would be okay? I know the recommeded is 245/45 but I found a great deal a set of "used" Michelin Pilot Sport A/S with 90% tread left for 125.00 for the set. I can't beat that for price. Came off of a newer Lexus. Will there be a noticeable difference from a 245/45? Thanks

Ryan

Will they run okay? I want to be sure they arent too small width wise. I know they are only about 1/2" smaller, so I would guess they would be ok. Also performance wise would I notice much between the two?

if you just want tires for the fuck of it then it wont really matter IMO

my dads fox with is 225 and mine where 235..i just got 275 drag radials

im sure you wont have a problem with it (me or my dad didnt) but if you care about speed or perfromance get better and wider tires

For the price it's a steal and they are good performance tires. They go for 183/each at tirerack.com I just don't want to worse handling that what I have now with the stock 15's. So I guess my question is; Will this setup be a better set up than the stock 15's on there now?
