I did a flowmaster cat back and it went on fine but 2 months later i went over some rail roads tracks and messed up the drivers side muffler real bad. Right out of the box the hangers hung the mufflers so low I really had to watch what i went over and then the rail road track thing happen. So anyways i went to a muffler shop had the guy level the mufflers out and he got them to hang them up higher in the car. He took about 1 1/2 inches of the hangers to get them to hang higher. Plus they welded them up too.

Because you will gain maybe 3 whole HP and NO torque by doing that. The only thing you will really gain by removing them is a BUNCH of extra noise and resonance, especially inside the car.
