if the kit is vehicle specific it will work. s/c manufactures build kits around a stock bottem end unless otherwise posted. do homework on superchargers before you buy one to be sure that you will be happy. a v6 will hold a s/c on stock bottom end, just be sure to set the boost at recommeded psi.

would recommend upgrading to the 99+ 3.8L MLS headgaskets first, but the bottom end will hold it. might want to ask vmptuning about their kits since they offer a discount to moddedmustangs.com board members

like they said the stock bottom end will definately hold up to 11 pounds easy. the stock headgaskets however will go quick cause theyre crap. definately look into better ones as someone above me suggested.

try the OE 99+ 3.8 Multi-Layered Steel Head Gaskets, you can get them from your local Ford Parts or off the net, they will hold the boost you are looking at... for a couple hundred you should be able to get all of the gaskets needed to change the heads, cam and intakes. I think RPM sells a topend swap kit, but not sure which headgaskets?
