Please Help


I have a 99 vert and when the top is closed it looks like this(see pic ) i have ordered a new top headliner window side cables and pads. do i need to find a frame or is my frame just out of adjustment any ideas? If out of adjustment how easy and where (if any links) can i go to see how to do this thanks

ouch. looks like it isnt popping up when it closes. can you push it up and pop it into place? I think you may need a new frame for it. I have no idea if you can get it adjusted. A ford dealer would know. Have you called them about it?

If your top goes all the way to the top without hesitating and is just uneven on one side it will require a linkage adjustment. Just reply if that is the case and I will e-mail you pictures and instructions on how to adjust, it looks to me like it may need a b-hinge adjustment. Hope this helps you.

Convertible Top Appears Low at the Center of the Door Window Glass — B-hinge Adjustment


Remove the quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05.
NOTE: If the B-hinge set screw is adjusted to raise or lower the B-hinge, inspect the header height, top pull down and dowl and receiver clearance. Adjust the cam bolt and balance link as necessary.

Tighten the lock nut.
Use Threadlock and sealer on the lock nut.

Tighten the lock nut.
Threadlock and sealer on the lock nut.
Make sure the convertible top operate correctly.
Install the quarter trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05.
Close the convertible top.


Trim Panel—Quarter, Convertible

Special Tool(s) Safety Belt Bolt Bit
501-010 (T77L-2100-A)

Removal

Lower convertible top to full down position.
Remove the rear seat cushion.
Remove the bolts and the rear seat backrest.

Remove the front door scuff plate (13208).

Remove the front safety belt bolt.

Remove the pin-type retainers.

Remove the speaker grille (18978).

Remove the quarter trim panel (31012) pin-type retainers.

Remove the quarter trim panel.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

holy shit! I would just have brought it in! lol. Thats a lot of crap to pull off just to adjust the fuckin top! Wow!
