Classic "vents on defrost" problem

Hey guys, haven't been online in a while but just recently had some trouble and figured this was the place to go. A few days ago my vents stopped working and every air setting simply stays on defrost/feet. The AC still works fine, just only in the defrost direction. I did a good amount of research and figured from what I've read it's probably the vacuum hoses, however none of the results online have explained how to go about repairing them (or whatever else it may be).

So far I've tried following the hose from the firewall, however Im really unclear which hose I need to be following and for how far, and what exactly Im looking for since Im still pretty new at this (any pictures would be great). Ive also taken out my dash cd player examined the back of the fan settings for the "yellow wire" though once again not sure what Im supposed to do from there. Basically Im stuck and could use some step by step expertise. Thanks in advance

1994 v6 btw

Either a vacuum hose came disconnected, or is cracked and leaking, or a vacuum valve is bad.

If you google '1994 Mustang hvac vacuum diagram' you may find diagrams for your car.

Get up there under your dash, and look for anything with vacuum lines. You will be able to tell if it leads to your hvac controls.
