You want to measure for parasitic draw. Take you're dvom (digital volt ohm meter). Put the positive lead in the 10 amp port (there is several ports for the positive lead). Put the voltmeter in milliamps setting (may be 1000 ma, 500 ma etc). Remove the negative lead of you're battery. (make absolutely sure you have the ignition off and all accessories off.)

Wire the dvom in series with alligator clips or something to continously hold it on. Visegrips work also. Put one lead on the battery terminal. Put the other lead on the negative wire. Be sure the negative terminal does not touch the battery post so all current is running through you're voltmeter. Now note what is says on the scale. If it reads nothing or says OL (over limit) crank the scale up into 10 amps. Leave it there until the current gets small enough to go back into mA. Leave the meter like this for 45 min and re-check.

If you have over 50 mA (0.050 A) you have too much parasitic draw. Now heres how you figure out what is doing it. Pull the fuses for all aftermarket equipment one by one. After you pull each one observe the meter to see if the current draw drops. Once all aftermarket equipment has been "un-fused" start with the factory fuse box. Get a pen and paper, write all the fuse numbers and amperage ratings down (the numbers will be on the fuse cover) Pull these fuses one by one watching the meter each time and checking them off as you go. Do not re-install fuses as this may cause the system to "wake up". If you happen to find the fuse that lowers amperage you have narrowed it down to which circuit is causing the draw. If not do not re-install fuses and move to the battery fuse box (under the hood) if equipped. Repeat the above procedure. If voltage still shows disconnect alternator as they can sometimes have bad internals that cause draws.

Also if you have 50 -100 mA draw this is basically normal. It will take 3 days with this draw to drain a battery enough to cause significant voltage loss. In that case it is likely a faulty battery causing the issue.
