i just got 2 10's in my vert a couple weeks ago. It sounds ok, our trunk rattles pretty bad, but if you get a good song with bass, you can feel it really good throughout the car. Im not sure how they wired it But im sure its not hard. Just pull your paneling in the back seat and see wheres the best spot to run it

i put subs in my car. youve got to pull out the back seat and that should be it for running the wires to the trunk. you might have to pull out the panel in the trunk. i cant remember if i did or not.

they sound better with the top up but not bad with it down.

do you have the stock deck? and mach system?

the biggest problem i had was fitting 2 12s in the trunk. theres very little room.

how many subs and what size?

it will sound alot better with an after market headunit. you might run into some problems with using the stock speakers with an after market headunit. my friend and i did all my audio stuff to my car and ran into some problems.

yea you just gota get the correct harness for everything to work and bypass the factory amps or else its kina like you are double amplifiying the door speakers b/c the aftermarket unit has a built in amp and then our mach system has factory amps under our convt top

those amps behind the seat are for our speakers? I thought that was for the vert top itself?

I have two 12s in my vert, what i did was build a panel across the front of the trunk and mounted the two subs on that panel, that why when the trunk is closed it acts as the box for the subs, and then i just ran the wiring underneath the trunk liner and underneath the rear seat to the amps which i mounted one under each bucket seat. with all the wiring under the carpet. It sounds great even with the top down.

You do not have to remove your back seat or pull any panels off. I ran all the wiring under the carpet and around the back seat with no visibility and no issues into the trunk. I have a bottom firing enclosed custom box with a 1400w alpine run from a capacitor. Sounds awesome. To eliminate any rattling, pull the panels off the back of the trunk and stuff with some light foam. This will stiffen up all the rattly panels.

well what about the trunk lid, that rattles alot. Im thinking about gettin a piece of dynamat or hushmat to put on the lid cuz thats the only thing that gives me problems.

Hmmm, mine doesnt rattle that much. Try tightening up the bolts on it and of course, use four screws in the license plate as that is the one spot where most of the rattling takes place. If you need to, stuff something behind it like a thin rag or something.

I think you could get away with putting some of the matting on the lid. It may be the license plate though. check that first.

i put double face tape behind it the day i got my subs in, it didnt rattle, but it was more the top of the trunk lid that was rattling. Does it weigh alot? Ive heard its pretty heavy.
