K&N Kit installed

I have a 2005 GT Convertible, automatic, left the cats on, Mac Prochamber, Dynomax Race Bullets, Gibson tips.

Got a K&N CAI kit (FIPK 57-2565) for Christmas, installed it, check engine light keeps coming on. Supposedly this kit is not supposed to require a tune. I have retightened everything...reset the computer a few times and it keeps coming back on...

I think I know the answer to this already from researching all the other threads on here about CAIs...

Has anyone had this problem? And if so, is there another fix besides buying a tuner and a tune for this mod?

Thanks anyone...
