Guys I have been scammed by a member that visits this forum. I just wanted to pass it on to you guys so hopefully no one else will do business with them.

This is a copy and past from my post on modfords.

He goes by the name "PROJECT" on here, verified by the email address.

Weirdly enough he was passing through town so I told him what exit I lived off of. I get a random email "Hey Im at that exit wondering if we can meet up." I didnt check my email till about 3 hours after he was here so it was too late but I kinda smirk like who just shows up with out any advanced notice, not to mention I do work so I am not available at anytime. He tells me all these other people that always ship COD to him, so I started doing some research. Great my stamps.com account allows me to ship COD. So against my better judgement I agree to send COD. I have communicated with this guy for a long time and we sent MANY if not hundreds of texts and emails back and forth. We almost created a friendship. Talking about each others builds, sending pictures ect. As I go to send the pistons he tells me he will need to get them recoated and will need to buy rings and such so I lowed the price for him we agreed to $274.20($265 pistons +$14.20 shipping) I paid $24 to ship them. He explained he was trying to get them on Saturday so I ran up on Thursday the 28th and dropped them off in hopes he would get them. Unfortunately, well maybe not, they didn't get delivered till Monday. I am monitoring this cause I havent got any payment, and never sent COD so Im wondering when I will get my money order. It took 3 days for a package to get to his house so I figured they(USPS) would send me a money order to my home address. After Thursdays mail came, and no money order I text Mike. I receive a text stating the Post Office dropped the package off and did NOT pick up a money order. I get pissed. This guy ****ing KNOWS I sent this COD doesnt make any effort to contact me to let me know someone messed up. I explain in texts that this is ****ing bullshit and why I never send COD. Asked How and WHEN am I going to get my money. I get a text saying a money order will be mailed to my return address on the box. I kinda calm down, apologize for going off, but still I am sitting here screwed. So Monday(5-9-11) one week after delivery and 4 days after texted on Thursday, I text MIke. I have done some research into this and apparently a police report was something I read I needed to get, so I text him again. Ask him what his intentions are and that I would hate to have to file a police report. I get a text back to the extent "Mike says he will take it to court based off how you talked to me, he will be calling me tonight and I will ask him but do whatever you have to do his brother is a cop" lol This is new to me cuase I thought I was talking to Mike the whole time. So now I am freaking lost, who is this now in the middle. I respond and say "I dont want this drawn out, but you guys just figure it out and let me know how I am going to get my money I am owed." So yesterday at 11pm. I send him an EMAIL, 1 day after whoever told me they would ask Mike. Keep in mind over the last entire month of communication, this guy would respond with in 10 hours to any email and almost instantly to texts. Now hes just gone. So I have filed a claim with USPS and will let them sort it out. The guy really seemed like a good guy, and I genuinely feel like I was taken advantage of. As you can see, I have a lot of feedback and do tons of transactions here in the mustang community. I do primarily deal on svtperformance but you can see I have done business everywhere. Here on modfords, I have a visitor message dating back to 2008 View Profile: boosted2000si - ModularFords.com On SVTP over 20 transactions. SVTPerformance Can you believe I just recently found the market section of thecorral? lol done some business on there.. Ford Mustang Forums : Corral.net Mustang Forum I DONT screw people over. I go out of my way to make things right and make sure everyone is happy. Hell just a few months ago I traded transmissions with someone in CALI! We never even talked all communication online and flawless transaction. Anyways, I hope Mike finally will handle this so I can stop the claim with USPS but something tells me I am screwed. Thanks to a great member I was pointed to another site the scammer is on and was able to get these photos. KEEP YOUR EYES open for this guy and BEWARE of scams.
