Road America - FORD July 18th

There are some events going on that look like fun. There is a Mustang Corral and if you drive your stang, you get free admission that day PLUS...... at 6 P.M. you get to drive a parade lap on the 4 mile track.:

A great line-up of activities will be available for spectators all weekend including a giant FORD display, Drifting Experiences, Ride & Drives and special Mustang Alley parking. Plus ALL drivers of MUSTANGS get FREE event admission on Mustang Saturday, July 18th.

Road & Track Racecar Concours d' Elegance on Friday
Parade of racecars departs Gate 5 at approximately 6:00 PM. Racecars are on display from 6:00 PM-8:30 PM.

Road & Track Sports Car Concours d' Elegance on Saturday
Sports cars are on display from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM.

IDN....I'll have to see. But thought I'd post it up. The opportunity to drive on that track even if it is a parade lap would be very cool. I'll never forget being able to drive the Indy lap. I still won't any road trip alone however.

Mama how far are you from that Local Indianapolis club that Jerry is in?

We're about an hour north of Indy. Met up with them last July for a Pony Trail across Indy - was a ton of fun!

I've done that Indy lap as well - in a damn Toyota Camry - but very cool....

Would love to take the mustang down for a hot lap or 10.

Seriously one of the coolest things I've done...just the historic value alone. And that club organized all of it-nice.

My Dad helped them design the brick portion of the track when they redid it several years ago - I have a picture of him standing on it.
