Midwest Ford Fest

Anyone else planning on or interested in doing this?

Midwest Ford Fest - Home Page

Located at Kansas City International Raceway, I went to it last year and it was a lot of fun. Wasn't an insane amount of cars mostly because of poor weather that weekend, but things are lookin ship-shape for next weekend's event! If anyone decides to come, drop me a PM and we can all try to get spots near each other.

and if necessary for anyone traveling a bit, I've got a couple couches at my apartment you're welcome to crash on, they are plenty comfortable and can fit someone under 6'3 just fine.

sweet...I think I'm just gonna run with the show cars, lol, if I do run in the bracket, I'd have to run in the 12.5 and hope not to embarrass myself, lol.

I think I am going to enter the heads up 11.30 class. The rules is the same ones that they use in the VAMP series. That series is loaded with sandbaggers.

If it's like it was last year, I wouldn't expect there to be a huge class of sandbaggers. Of course, if the weather holds until this weekend, there could be 2 or 3x as many cars there than last year.

Weather looks like it will be perfect for racing. I just hope I don't run to fast and get kicked off before the event starts.

Did you put it in the trunk? What all have you done to the car since the last time I saw you at the track?

the battery was in the trunk last time ya saw me too only thing new now are LTs + o/r h pipe, 4.10s, and a detroit tru trac in da back. Hopin that all takes care of any potential bogging at the start and give me a fun little launch worthy of the tires

I forgot to ask you yesterday how you thought the Tru Trac worked you. My stock clutch pack has about had it. Noticed more one tire spin than normal and that costed me losing the second round. Oh well there is always something to get it more consistant.
