I'm going to post this up here for now. The RT 66 Festival is in Springfield IL on Sept 25-27. I hear iot is just a balst and I have never been. I am trying to organize a trip down there with a few local clubs seeing as I made sure I took the appropriate date off for my vacation request in..freakin NOVEMBER I just took a guess it was always the last weekend in September!

Anyway...so I'll through this out here I know some of you live in Central IL area as a kind of heads up. Nothing in concrete yet, but I know some of us need to reserve hotels rooms for the event because they do sell out quickly!

So....? It's 3/26, and I was just wondering with having some sperattic days at 60* when these meets are going to happen? My car will be running this weekend, and tuned before mid April. There's no reason why we can't all meet at a forest preserve, and grill some food.

Yeah this event is a blast, I have been the last two years and have my ticket for this year already. Friday night they kick off the event by holding a cruise open to anyone (even if you are not in the show) that is about 15 miles long thru downtown springfield. People line up in lawn chairs and what not on the side of the road the entire way to watch all the cars move from the starting site to downtown. When you get downtown, they have free entertainment and events till late in the evening. Definitely worth your time...there are hundreds of cars in the cruise. Usually this where some groups meet up to start the weekend events.

incase you guys were wondering about g2g's. Every Friday and Saturday a local shop by us has a cruise night/g2g. Theres always a monster turnout and everyones pretty cool. Lots a big hardware too. If your looking to set up races theres a ton of roads within a few mins of the shop that you can get down on hassle free. The name of the shop is Speed Unlimited and its located on Indianapolis Blvd (US 41) 3 mins South of Rt 30 in Scherriville, IN

Also Sat June 20th Lansing is having our first cruisenight of the year. Theres a monster turnout and its all around a good time.
