I do get a discount for it not being my daily driver. They have it covered as a pleasure vehicle (5000 miles a year or less) I've had it 28 months & have 8700 miles on it already.

I think he got tuned at Illinois Dyno Center. Just a little ways from the Quad Cities. I wouldn't get tuned there if I were you though. The main tuner there won't work with you at all or listen to your opinion. Its either do it his way or don't do it. On top of that he isn't really that good.

Better off going with a E-Mail tune from one of the top tuner's. What year is your car and what mod's do you have to require a tune?

I have a 2004 GT. BBK O/R X pipe, D1SC running #8-#10 lbs of boost, 3 core intercooler, 90 mm MAF, 42 LB injectors, probably gonna run a GT supercar pump...

I was thinking of just buying either an Xcal 2 or 3 and having Joe from Trick Tuners on here send me email tunes.

Would I require anything more than a wideband a/f and an Xcal 3 tuner to get email tunes? I dont need a livewire do I?

Nope. X-cal II and a wideband will do just fine. Not sure what wideband you are going to go with but you might want to read up on data-logging with a Xcal and a wideband. Here is a example of what needs to be done. The process is almost identical for any wideband, but a few wires may need to be switched around for the differen't brands. Almost all the major brands use the same sensors anywayz.

Thanks for the info Towelly. Reps to you. This might be a dumb question but I'm pretty sure the Xcal 2 and 3 are almost the same (generally speaking)... so does the Xcal 3 datalog somewhat like an xcal 2?

A livewire has a wideband a/f built in right? So if i bought a livewire I would not need a separate wideband gauge would I?

A live Wire is going to read your wideband the same way a gauge would. So your still going to have to do some wiring. But don't worry, none of it is hard or difficult. Plus the Live Wire is huge and ugly. Xcal II and III operate almost the same way. There should be a write up for what you need when you decide on what sensor you want.

Thanks for all the help Towelly. Of course when I called SCT, they told me that I better get a Livewire and that an Xcal 3 probably wouldnt be enough...You kinda saved me from buying a Livewire that I didn't need. So I bought an Xcal 3 and I'm gonna give that a whirl, I think I'm gonna have TrickTuners do my email tunes. Joe's really helped me out a lot.

Yeah. I've been on more than one forum that he has been a part of and he is always helpful and knowledgable. Never gets into pissing matches either. Or at least any I've seen. I love the PLX gauges too. I remember when he first intro'd them.
