Good! Busy...haven't been on here in many moons, but with the weather being nice and the track reopening this year, I've got the bug. Figured I'd drop in and see how many "which exhaust should I get?" threads have popped up since the last time I logged on...I see not too much has changed! Haha! Haven't had a chance to try out the all-new twice-built rear-end and line-lock yet, but ready to see if she holds together this year.

I just finished putting my LS spring kit that came with my Ed Curtis/FTI custom turbo cam onto the heads that are going on my 331 Turbo build.(and, yes I did them at the kitchen table) Maybe try and get the cam degreed in tommorrow, bolt the heads on and have the engine ready to drop in.

Hey just stumbled onto this section I didnt realize you guys had much of a scene in ND (im from manitoba)

I have a few questions

Who are the mod motor guys using as Tuners up in ND

Hows the scene on the weekend where you guys go ect

Any local sites for used parts ect

Maybe ill come down for a weekend,winnipegs scene is dying fast,cops (viu) cracking down on modded cars

Welcome, I'm from just outside Minot ND. My buddy's got a 98 GT with a Vortech S-trim and he is using a Sniper to tune it. My son has a 97 Cobra with 67mm turbo and we are using a Diablo Sport chip tuned by Dyno Tune USA out of Watertown SD. My other son has an 05 GT with a Diablo Predator tuner. The cruise scene is pretty lame here, but if you come on a drag race weekend there are alot of people hanging out at the track talking car stuff etc. Bismarck(110 miles south of here) has a sweet cruise night the first tues. of evey month. I went last Oct. and it was awsome, aprox. 150 cars showed up to cruise, it was quite a site!

I`ll have to check out this Dyno Tune place,might be a better option then my locals.Ive been getting my tunes from eric brooks (remote tunes) I havent had any issues but im always looking for someone closer

Hp the heads look nice you going to run a DFI set up with a EBC? What turbo and is Andy going to tune it on e85?

Matt, I've got a Classic FAST Sequential system and a Innovate MTX-L Wideband, I'm going to tune it myself for E85. I orignally had a Holset 66mm turbo, but have recently bought a Turbonetics 76mm ball bearing turbo. I might start out with the smaller one & see how she runs then swap on the 76mm. How much to the ideal power/ideal cruise ratios change going from regular gas to E85?

Andy @ Dyno Tune USA in Watertown SD does awsome work, problem is he's 500 miles from Minot, so that makes for a long trip down & back to get a tune!

Leave the WB set up for pump gas tune for 14.64 cruise, idle and light accleration. 13.2 for harder accel low boost 1-3 psi, 12.5 for lower boost 4-5 psi @ part throttle, target 11.0-11.5 @ wot and peak load.

What is the compression of the motor and how much boost are you planning?

Compression ration is 8.5:1, probably end up with 16-18 psi on kill mode!

Suspension consists of UPR coil over kit up front, full length MM subframes, Metco upper & lower rear control arms w/sperical bushings in the axle, air bag in RR.

I want to say about 3 weeks to get the cam, springs, etc. from Ed.

I will be back out in Minot this spring. Sending me back to the base to finish my project. Maybe starting another after that. It would mean I would be there until late fall. If I am then maybe we'll have to have a meet.

OK, did a little financial shuffling and we are going to be at 10.5-1 this summer with a 150 shot on top, MMR 2500R pistons, MMR900 series rods, ARP hardware on everything.

Holy crap, it's been a while since I've been on here!!! Haven't had too much time to do a whole lot, new job and getting used to actually having a normal shift...

On the plus side, I'll actually be able to enjoy the cruise nights and hopefully spend some time at the strip this summer. Looking forward to the thaw and seeing everyone out again!

I'm stationed in minot (in guam til april) and pick up a 12 gt june 1st. Work at tires plus part time def in for a meet or a cruise sometime. I will have all of my suspension stuff and a cat back exhaust waiting to install once I get back. Nice turbo project man, do you work at tires plus in town,
