Sorry this doesn't exactly have anything to do with my stang haha but hopefully I can make some money out of it that will go into my stang =)

There's a 2001 volkswagon passat gls with a blown motor with 36,000k miles. The car bodywork is flawless, cold weather, leather, package loaded, tranny, rear, drivetrain (xcept motor) all in perfect order.. only it has a blown motor for sale for only $1800.00

A working car 2001 passat with 80k just sold for 9.5k with 80,000 miles.
The blown motor in the car rite now is a VR6 v6 motor (selling used on ebay right now for 450-600) lol.

What do you guys think??? sound like a project worth making some money on or should I even bother? If I can buy the car and a new motor for under 3000 and get her running.. and possibly move it for 5-7k.. that's a couple thousand dollars to invest in the pony and i've always wanted a project

i had a audi a4 2.8 5speed with just over 100kmi and a blowen motor these cars suck! i broke both cv axles and i needed tie rods and such no big deal right? well the problem with my a4 was that the control arm bushings where shot then i found the control arms where fucked because i guess when one bushing is bad if fucks it up i spent 3k on it trying to make a few hundred the suspension on most German cars is very expensive and hard to work with a friend of mine works for audi in rochester mn and told me he would never buy a used one because they give out bills for over 4500 and the car is only worth about 5k and the owner didnt chose to fix everything and just so you know i never even got around to fixing the blown head gasket because of all of this and thats the story of the first and only audi/vw i will ever touch drive or anything els for that mater.

i would say you should look into a lower price car because of the economey right now and sell it to a young adult or a kid a probe gt for a kid or a sunfire for a girl parts are a dime a dozen for these cars check outCar-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for parts or just find a winter fender bender that broke a tie rod or hit the ditch that just my 2cents Good luck!

my mom has a 99 Audi A4 that just has 115K and has had nothing but problems iwht it

sounds like fun man ... if you need volkswagen help search vwvortex.com ... but don't ask questions they are short tempered... ...

was it a gas or diesel burner? ... you should do a diesel/veggie oil swap on it... but then you would have to remove everything fuel/computer/engine related and swap it over but it would be a kick ass car and very environmentally friendly
