Thankful for all season tires

I've driven rear wheel drive cars most of my life... in snow. This year I had planned to store the Mustang and drive my truck any time it snowed. Not because of the snow, but because of the salt they throw on the roads.

My son's Jimmy has broken down... serious malfunction. It will be a few weeks before he can save the money to fix it. He has a good job but works out of town most of the time so I gave him my truck to drive. That leaves me and the Mustang to face the coming snow storm. I've very glad I'm currently running all-season tires.

Reality sometimes sucks, but it is real. I've been debating over whether to go 18x9 all the way around or go 18x10 on the back. I can't get all-seasons in any size bigger than 255/45-18. Decision made... 18x9s.

Yep join the club. I love snow and saw some flurries as of yet. It sucks.

Anyway, yea all seasons ftw. Had them on when I was up in Newport RI. Talk about good stuff. When I went to FL I threw on some Pirelli P-Zeros. Loved em but summer only! Now runnin Kuhmos. They are Meh at best.

Lookie at all these Indiana people! Yay!

I just put 18x9's and 18x10's on my car this summer. Kept my stock wheels and traded them out when it was clear the snow was coming. Throw some bags of softener salt in the trunk and that is at least enough to keep it on the road. Not nearly as fun to drive as a 4x4 but it works.

I would have rather had snow then the ice we got. The Mustang drove well during the recent ice storm. I saw more than one car spin a 180 in front of me. I heard there were 179 accidents in Indianapolis that night.
