You need all the turbo piping. Correct location of the BOV in relation to the turbo. The distance does mater. As do the bends of the pipe and the location of them compared to other things. It is totaly do able. But you are looking at a LOT of work. I'm sure you knew that going in, so I would simply recommend buying a book on building a turbo system.

There's not really a book thats going to teach you step by step what to do, but I'd reccomend Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost". He goes into detail about how to read a turbocharger map, how to pick the right turbo for you, what material to use for your manifolds and downpipe, etc. etc. I've read it through a couple times and it is really excellent knowledge.
Also, if you havent already been, go to The Turbo Forums.com (now the turbo forums) and start reading. There is a TON of information on that site, including a turbo "bible" that will help you out alot. I'd reccomend a TiAL 48mm BOV and a TiAL 60mm Wastegate. TiAL is a great company with a good history of reliability and making good power. |
