*$^&* center console woes

I already have removed both screws under the radio and 2 under the center console, but the leather ebrake boot is the only thing that is keeping me from removing the center console. Any ideas on how to unbolt the ebrake?? I dont want to twist and turn the console, knowing me I would probably brake something ro scratch up my seats. Thanks for any help

I got mine in and out several times without scrathing anything up, just pull the e brake all the way up and remove the shifter trim ring and boot to give yourself some extra room.

If you use slow deliberate movements and don't jerk anything around you will be fine.

And yes, I upgraded to a 03 cobra console so mine is just like yours. Trust me, it's no big deal to get it in and out without tearing anything up.
