best bang for buck car in the ford line up is the terminator cobras from 03-04
they weigh far less then any of the new mustangs so they have an advantage all the way around from that. and they have been proven to make crazy power with some smart modifying. the new mustangs suck in my opinion they are a failed attempt to make money off of a legendary car when the edgebody cars could have been that next great mustang.... but they screwed up and screwed us lol ( sorry for the short rant hope the opinion helped though)

lol what are you talking about? the 03-04 cobras weigh almost 200 more pounds then the S197 Gt's...if the new mustangs suck, then why are they better then the new edge GT's in every category? hmmm...

just buy a notch back. They're light, cheap, and inexpensive to make fast.

Otherwise if you're set on a modular stang, then i'd go with an 03-04 cobra b/c it's cheaper than a GT500.

When it comes to saleen, i'd go with the S197 (05+)

terminator for sure, no question IMO

i love the 3v and it responds amazingly well to mods but i think the 4v does slightly better

the 4v in the termi yes will respond better the n/a high compression mach? NOPE....had a guy run me in a mach 1 with all the mods i have but made for his mach (duh) but he had 3.73s instead of 4.10s like i did and out ran the piss out of him from a dig, he was complaining about spinning so we went from a 40 roll to same result

I'm not sure what the first part of your reply meant... but the second part is, well, laughable. Stock for stock, the Mach and the S197 are fairly close in the quarter mile. Outrunning another shitty driver isn't exactly what I'd call "Outrunning the piss" out of someone. Especially with similar mods, and you have 4.10s over 3.73s. That'll give you a small edge, and that's about it. Next time, try it against someone who knows how to drive, and you won't be posting the same nonsensical statement.

I really wish people who knew what they were talking about would post more in these sections. It's turning into a moronic pissing match.

A well driven bone stock Mach can run 13 flat in the quarter.

They were typically underrated by Ford, and often produced over 300 lb-ft a the wheels, and 280-290 hp at the wheels.

If you smoked one that bad, something was wrong with his car, or he couldn't drive for a shit.

mach 1's are definately faster stock for stock, and mod for mod.
