i just realized something. i have to get emissions testing done every two years where i live, what about mods? dont they effect the emissions? im guessing if i did cams, intake, exhaust and a few other things like a tuner, my car wouldnt pass emissions. and i hear about people putting off road X pipes and stuff on their mustangs. doesnt that remove the cats and cause it not to pass emissions? this is the first car i've owned thats newer than 1967 so i am clueless about all that emissions control junk.

you should be fine passing emissions if you get a catted x or h pipe, it sucks cause you will lose power getting those but you gotta do what you gotta do

just stay away from the off road mid pipe and you should be ok. bassani makes an excelent x/pipe, try to get the ss w/the steel cats that will give you the sound your looking for. pair it up with whatever cat back.(mac or bassani?)once you get exhaust you usually would want other mods starting with induction and gears and more! I WARN YOU NOW THIS CAN GET ADDICTIVE!

yeah man just declear it a race car and you dont have to get emmisons tests at leasth here in denver thats the case. And if you own property where the emmision test is not need then just licence it in that county. Thats what i did!!!

You can always find someone that will pass you for a little extra cash. I do it every year untill this year when i tryed to see if my car would actually pass... and it did. I dont have mufflers and i have some mods.
