"CHECK ENGINE" [on] after installing JLT RAI

i own a 1996 Mustang GT and i have previously installed the JLT RAI for my car and it was running great. a day later we decided to get some In-N-Out and before i made the U-Turn, the light just came on. =\ any reasons on why it would come on? would really appreciate your help to save myself gas instead of driving over to my dad's shop about 30miles away. Thanks

is the maf hooked up correctly? make sure all the everything is hooked up snug and the vaccum lines are in.. im sure its probably something minor. might just try resetting the battery as well, if not just bring it to a local Autozone or Advanced auto parts.. theyll code scan it for you and print you out a sheet that tells you the the code for FREE...

when you say that, do you mean like take off the negative(black one) and wait awhile and put it back on?

yah, take the neg. off for 10 minutes or so and reconnect. if it still comes on and all the connections are good.. drive it around a few miles to complete a drive cycle and take it to advanced auto parts. a tech will code scan it and give u a printout for free .. it could verywell not even be intake related
