O2 Sensor Locations?


On my 98 gt where is the O2 sensor found on my exhaust and will i have any issues if i decide to put on a o/r x pipe???

you should have a upstream and down stream o2 sensors on the h pipe. if you put a offroad x pipe on get some mil eliminators and extensions and you wont have any problems

you should have a total of 4. Two before the cats and two after. If you go catless you will need mil eliminators or you will get a check angine light.

if you get a tune you dont need mil you can just shut o2's off.

mil eliminators 50 and the extenders 50 or you can make the extenders. or like said above you can get them turned off on the tune

Eliminating the cats usually results in the harness being too short or you get sorry quality eliminators that burn through within a month. The only eliminators I've found that are worth a crap are from a well known company in the Miami area. They're short, you'll need to extend the 02's.
A tune is gonna cost but I guess you're gonna do it anyway. Save yourself the trouble and tune out the MIL.
That brings up a question. Why don't the manufacturers of the MIL eliminators simply make them a foot longer so we don't have to tug the harness out from above the tranny and risk breaking continuity? I know heater resistance is an issue, so use smaller gauge (thicker) wire.
