help! new procharger belt wont stop squealing

ok well i have i procharger. i had to change the belt last week and now ever since it makes a really bad squeaking sound when u first start it up. but then it goes away after you drive for 5 or 10 min or so. but i can't for the life of me find out whats makin it squeak!!!! i just took the charger and everything back off and oiled and looked at all the pullies and it still squeals. the people at procharcher said that it could be because the supercharger is not in line with all the other pullies, but it worked fine with the old belt...... idk. i also noticed that this new belt i put on there happens to be really tight, tighter than the old one that came for sure. u guys have any thoughts? this thing is drivin me crazy and there's nothing more embarasing than starting your car up and the belt sound like crap

Pulleys could be out of line. I'm guessing you're 6 rib? How many miles are on the head unit?

you didn't actually put like lubricating oil on the belt right? its too tight, loosen it.

Yeah its 6 rib. Has about 20,000. Maybe its too tight.

It looked like it. Called procharger and tey gave me the pART NUMBER. However, the guy I bought it from sent 3 different belts and said the largest one workes best. If i want to get a slightly larger belt, like say 1/4", how do you go about asking for something like that?

the tensioner pully that rides on the belt that connects to the charger bracket, just loosen the nut on the back and loosen the brass nut on the top, if thats not enough, move the idler pully that the charger rides on you can move it up or down and then adjust your tensioner pully the right position

If you still have the old packaging bring it to the parts store, or the part number Procharger gave you and ask for a the next larger belt size.
