Fiberglass hood fitment problems?

I have on order a custom fiberglass hood on the way for my 2001 mustang and wondering if anyone has had any fitment problems with their stang? I have heard horrible stories of the hood not lining up right . I was planning to take the hood to the body shop(hood not on car) and have them paint it then pick it up and install it myself. It would be a royal pain if I get it and it doesnt fit right or line or correctly..

Got it off of ebay from a respectable guy named Poncho, He has the best figerglass and has been in business for years. His feedback speaks for itself as other mustang owner have bought from them before too. I hope there wont need too much tweeking to get it to fit right. Should I take it in and have them paint it and install it then?

My last car I ran 6 different hoods on it I think. All of them lined up fine. Just bolted right on. Some of them I had to loosen the fenders to get the gaps right. The one on my current car fit pretty darn good. The only time I could ever see it being a project is if the car had bent hinges or the hood was bad.

Buyer Beware

You might luck out, but I can tell you my gt is in the shop right now and I had horrible problems with one of the most expensive hoods out there. It cost me $600 to bring it into a usable condition and it's still not perfect. When you get your hood bolt in on and see how it fits. If it looks like there may be issues deal with the manufacturer BEFORE any paint or prep.

Inspect the hood thoroughly before letting the delivery guy leave, just incase it's damaged. I just sold my Cerevini 95 Cobra hood to a guy locally and it bolted right up with to problems, just like it did on my old Gt. I recommend a better quality hood, but it's your money.
