Went to try to pass emissions test today " Un READY " status

Anyone with a diablo tune installed ever passed Smog test before?

So It was time for my smog test and I just installed a new battery a month ago and only driven the car for about 200 miles so far. After the test, I had three "un ready" . o2 sensor , 02 sensor heater, and evaporative. I've had a Predator diablo tune installed and hope that doesnt have anything to do with it saying "un ready" ANyone help please! Thanks in advance !

At our age, they don't tend to do a true scan of the exhaust. They are not required to do anything more than scan your ecu for codes. if you are popping a code, you will fail. If you aren't, you should be fine. Clear the codes and try again. If you still have the codes come back, look into it further, otherwise. F em! I didn't get a customized car to get yelled at for it having a big engine.

No, I have no CEL codes, the 3 codes are from the report of the Smog test. I am thinking the diablo tube has something to do with me not passing.

Do you have anything turned off?

Rear O2 sensors, EGR, etc...?

no nothing is turned off. I just dont have main cats on the car, had them removed with a straight pipe. So all I have is precats on the car with the diablo tune. No check engine lights, nothing

It's possible that your O2 sensors aren't reading properly, or with precats they're reading just fine, but you can't pass with the setup. You can have codes thrown without the SES light coming on.

Yeah, if your tune has those 02 sensors turned off, Its as bad as it throwing a code.

gotta shut off the rear o2 sensors when you remove any cats. the readiness codes can will turn into cel once the computer see's them enough.

what about making your own mils? and not having a tuner turn them off? and are they required to doa visual inspection of the emissions equipment?

unless he has an updated or new predator, he can just shut them off with the tuner. why would he want MIL's?

If they do a visual where you live, that's why you need to keep an extra midpipe in the garage with cats on it. You're better off using your O2 sensors and just turning them off with a tuner. Saves money, keeps you from throwing a code, and it works for the visual inspection.

well i made my own mils. and I stillhave my stok H just incase. I made milscuz they cost me $5 to make. and not $360 for a tuner. so i was just wondering about the visual. I think they do it here but I will have to check it out.
