That much difference?

Some of you may have seen my mustang. If not here it is My 4.6 Fox body

Anyways, I drove a 00 mustang gt yesterday, and it seemed like it just didn't have the power compared to mine. I mean I understand mine will have more due to it being lighter. The 2 cars are exactly the same only mine has a cai and set of flowmaster mufflers. They both have the cats cut off. The other car has less miles on its motor than mine. They are both automatics.

I guess what my question is is how much more power does mine have over that one, and how much faster should it be?

Well, if you already have a 2000 GT engine in your fox, and it's lighter than the oo GT body, you *should* be faster in the fox. Gear ratios the same? You said you have the drivetrain swapped out as well.

I couldn't tell you specifically how much faster yours should be. You'd pretty much have to crunch some numbers based on weight and loss of power against the weight differences. I'd also take into account differences in the chassis.

yeah I would say the fox isfaster because of the weight and if your any kind of driver you should beat the 00 no problem. just my .02

The 2000 GT would go the 1/4 in 14.35 @ 94.55mph and the 5.0 in 13.73 @99.14 using the same bhp of 260.
Now my brain hurts, hope that puts it in perspective.

I am in Pearl Harbor Hawaii : ) I am in the NAVY and havnt driven my stang in 8 months. I had to leave it at my brothers in Oregon where I am from. Actualy I have only driven my car 4 times in the last 3 years : (

I leave here in July and I am going on 4 years here. I live in Pearl Harbor on Oahu. Yah, I have 1200 miles on my forged, camed, KB motor and it sits there

. And as soon as I get home it is getting stripped down and parted out because I have a 07 3V that the forged goods are going in and a new 3V KB to top it of. Now all I need are the cams

No, just the motor. I built it 3 years ago broke it in and had to leave to Hawaii. The NAVY only ships one car for free when you move so we shiped my wifes because she was prego with my daughter. I deleted my rear seat for a car seat and there was no way a my wife was driving a 450hp car with my baby in it. so that was that
