Hey,

I have a tired 98gt with 4r70w with a ton of miles. My slushbox has lost 1st gear...so it has sat for about 2 years waiting for a new tranny.

I just saw someone in my area post for parting out a 03 mustang and selling the motor and tranny for under 2k. I am pretty sure this is a doable swap but was looking for confirmation and any feedback on how easy this would be?.

I figured this would be a better investment than a PA or Lentech 4r70w then doing a PI and intake swap on a bottom half that has 175k miles...synthetic or not it probably wouldn't last too much longer. Esp since it will be a track only car except for the 15 mile ride to the strip / road course track in town.
