Custom Twin Turbo Kit?

So I'm thinking of doing a custom twin turbo kit. I could buy all the tubing premade, and then get the turbo's and other things my self. My only question is, how much work would it be to find all of the stuff? And how much does everyone think it would cost? I am set on turbo's and I plan on being around 500-600hp in the end. I know I could get the kit put togehter my self, I just wonder if everyone thinks its worth it or not, price and quality wise.

Tubular K-Member, every turbo setup i have seen required it. Even custom ones so be prepared for that too if your not already.

go for it. I would definitely post your parts lists, ideas, drawings, theories, etc... so we could add our opinions, and insight. I love seeing one off jobs and the great thing is that it is all yours, and no body has the exact same setup...

It's not going to be cheap by any means. I'm looking at $24k for my rebuild and SUPPORTING mods.

$24K? Y would you spend that much unless your including your engine build and suspension work in that too. My guess is that I can buy the hot side piping for $1500 or so from someone like HP. Then find some used turbo's and Blow off valves. A nice intercooler from one of the big companies, and then find the assorted fuel pump, fittings and hoses around. Not sure how the over all cost would be.

I could get a kit from HP with everything I wanted for $5565 before tax. I would be getting the K-member and such any ways. The problem is, I'm not sure I could put a kit together for cheaper. I don't mind finding all the parts if its going to save me a couple grand. Otherwise, id rather just get a kit that I know works.

It is for everything. The reason I bring it up is because all too often people go F/I, focus completely on the F/I and forget about building everything else up around it first, to include the engine itself.

Then someone comes back and starts a thread about how their engine just exploded in a fiery wreck sending bits and pieces of shrapnel into their grandmother's throat, face and breasts... all because they slapped a power adder in and tried boosting to 30 PSI on stock internals : D

Not dramatic at all^^ LOL

I have to replace my bottom end. So I'm working on that now. And I already have done a decent chunk of suspension. The power adder or whatever I end up doing is the part I'm trying to figure out now.

Drama makes the world go round...

I've been researching exactly what direction I want to go in... but I'm still iffy about a lot of it. I wish this modding thing wasn't so bloody expensive.

24k...OMG. you need to PM me. I could do almost ANYTHING for half that. I can't even get over that. I don't even have that much in my TT kit, built auto trans swap, built IRS AND price of the car...

I guess I don't charge enough...and 10s aren't fast enough for a kid transporter and DD...

You have 'plans' with the wrong ppl....lol.

Cause my 700hp motor built on a budget ready to take more wasn't 'good enough'.....

Weakest point of the motor was the crank...and it still looks great. ill send ya pics if you need them...

Dyno numbers don't mean much.

I have seen 900rwhp cars roll 10.8 1/4miles...

I beat that time...with way...way...less HP...

I'm working with forged internals but a stock block and crank. Can I support twin turbos?

I would love to have lifts...oh man the work and stuff I could do with them.

MY TT build was a stock WAP block and CAST crank.

Twin turbos has nothing to do with it 'handling it'. It depends on what power you want to run, and even more importantly "HOW" you want to run it. IE, track or street.
