Info for any one adding Long tube headers!

So I just took my car in to get my headers and x-pipe put in and there are a couple things I wish I would have known before hand so I thought I would throw it out there encase neone else is planning on having this done to their car. First of all you are going to need o2 sensor extensions because your stock sensors will not reach all the way (I know this for sure on the long-tube headers dunno about shorties) and also if you are planning on throwing an x-pipe or sumthing on BE sure its compatable lol as we found out the hard way the Hooker x-pipe flang does not meet up with the BBK headers though they are alligned and everything the flanges are still not compatable. Also if neone was wondering on price I think im being charged for about 5 hours or so of labor on installation. Let me know if there is something i have left out.

Also if anyone is looking for somone reliable to buy parts from check out the venders section of this site and go to crazylegs racing Chad has gone up and beyond the call of duty to help me out with everything i have bought from him and every transaction I have had with him has gone very smooth and he is just and all around great guy!

lol yup. you're going to need an o2 extension harness and if your midpipe is an offroad pipe (no catalytic convertors) you'll need some MIL elimiators so that your sensors won't throw a check engine light. and with longtubes, you need a SHORTY mid pipe to compensate for the added length of the headers.

Get a hand-held tuner and just turn off the rear 02 sensors. You can adjust for new gears as well as adjust timing and fuel tables.

Great advice there. I prefer that method as to buying the MIL eleimnators. Plus as you mentioned for the price of the tuner its great because you can do so much more with it.
