32v Carb

Not sure were to post this so here it goes. I plan on starting my engine build with a 32v Mod motor. Its going to be carburated to keep things simple.

My question is does any one have experience in this build or ideas?

eBay Motors: FORD 4.6 MODULAR CARBURETED INTAKE MANIFOLD (item 220395943309 end time May-14-09 05:28:35 PDT)

Bare Blocks

Cylinder Heads

This is where i plan on starting and i was going to use the 99+ snake heads since the carb adapter will not fit the other style head.

I have seen a carbed 4.6 and it made some damn good power.

With carbed set ups you usually have to block off parts of the block that the injectors and stuff use. I don't think that is the case with the mod motors though. i think you can get away with just getting a new intake. the issue is going to be setting up the fuel system. tuning a carbed car is simple. the issue is your going to have to deal with the computer system. You are taking away a lot of things that it sensors to make it carbed. And if you are planning on setting up a stand alone, you would need alot of sensors hooked up for all of the other random shit. You would probably need a custom ECU and everything.

There are several places that have done the build you are tlaking about. 1 did it with the 2v heads, and made like 350 rwhp. I can't remember who it is now, but I believe MM&FF had an article on it. might give you an idea of who to talk to. It is a pretty high level build to do.
