Suggested Spark Plugs for 98 Cobra

Did a quick search, didn't see anything specific to my question so I apologize if this has already been posted.

Anywho, looking to get fresh plugs/wires in the Cobra ('98, engine is bone stock) , I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or experiences for or against any paticular brands/types?

I'm currently looking at sparkplugs.com, and considering going with NGK sinlge platinum plugs and NGK wires. Is there any reason why I'd want to spend the 11 bucks/plug to get the double plats?

Thanks for the info!

If its bone stock dont waste youre money on expensive plugs. Do a NGK or Denso platinum like you said. that will be fine. As for wires i would like to suggest www.performancedistributors.com. I bought the kit a while back came with 10mm Live wires, (2) Screaming Demon coil packs and chrome wire looms. I netted .2 in the 1/4 from it. So thats the only reason i suggest them to people. Easy install and i have never had a problem going on 3 years. Good luck

When I still had my 1999 Cobra (it has the same engine as your '98) I used Denso Platinum and they worked like a charm. I suggest those.

Almost the same motor, they actually changed over from 98 to 99 with different set-up. But still a DOHC

Yeah, didn't they go from the B port to the C port in '99? I've also heard those have some cooling issues with one of the heads.

I ended up going with basically what I had put above, NGK single plat plugs, Denso wires, and grabbed a K&N FIPK (the conical with the heat shield, not the one with the whole intake pipe). Total cost was just shy of $300 shipped with tax.

Anything else I should be taking care of for the magic 70K tune-up?

And thanks for the responses!

Yeah, I forgot about the ports. Cooling problems with the heads? I wish that was the only thing that had cooling problems. I had to replace the radator with an aftermarket, lets just say that was a month and a half of hell.
