what to do.... what to do???

i have a delema. i want to go ahead and buy the mongoose MPH s/c from modular power house, and i don't know if i should do that or.... just start with gears, cai, tb, plenum, ud pullies, etc... peice by peice. what do you all think?? what would be the best route to go? eventually i'm going to put a s/c on, but i don't know if i should buy one now and then start doing the bolt ons or do the bolt ons first then the s/c last? any and all advice welcome. thanks everyone.

If you have the money now i would just do all the bolt on you can do and then save up for some heads and cams and intake and then go the supercharged route.

if you go S/C the UDP's will have to go and the stock pullies will have to come back. either way will be fine. i went with the bolt ons first and now i am about to get into the $$$ part of it. for now i am on the bottle before long i will be doing much more than that. all up to you and what you see fit. both ways are fine and fun its all in how fast you want to go and how much money you wanna spend.

+1 Do all the bolt on modz first so u will have a complete setup to fully support the supercharger.

I wish I had just bolted on a SC after dumping tons of money into bolt-ons. If you ready to get wild in the future, you can throw a 4V in it and really load up on the HP.

get forged internals then s/c it. much more power that way and you can always add the bolt ons later.

alot of people i heard would of rather just got a s/c with low boost then do the full bolt on.. you can add a few things and s/c if youd like but a s/c is the best thing you can do... later you can forge or preferably get it stroked then up the boost.

i would go the SC route the bolt ons may net you 20 RWHP but the SC would net you about 400 at the wheels...

do the supercharger first. its gonna net you way more gains than any of the bolt ons are going to do. start with the supercharger and add the little bolt ons as you see fit. tb would be the one i would suggest before doing the supercharger. the rest can wait. also instead of spending all that money on the little bolt ons, just start out with heads and cams, its gonna cost about the same in the long run and the gains are gonna be much more plentiful. people dont look at it that way but its the way things are when you break it all done. do the supercharer first and then do your little bolt ons.

acmiller, the 4v swap is not as easy as just throwing in the motor. lots of wiring and computer problems will be had if you do that. and its cheaper to make the 2v faster than to do a 4v swap

4V swap:
Heads
Front clock cover
injectors
injector harness
cobra maf or a SCT MAF
headers
chip for your PCM tuned with a 4V tune
99-01 Cobra intake or 03/04 Mach 1 intake, Custome intake, Sullivan Intake ( not recommended unless boosted) or a modified aviator intake
throttle body
linkages
and quite a few other small pieces...

It is not that easy of a swap but it can be done...

Get the Mongoose kit...Wish I would ahve done that first...Like I bought UDP, CAI, Timing Adjuster, etc...All stuff that I cant use with my mongoose t-trim...All stuff that I am going to take a loss on when selling...Like I said i wish I would have went with a mongoose kit first...

Tim can send you a tune that will keep the car VERY VERY daily drivable...I know people running 3 and 4 years on stock engine with a supercharger and the only reason they dont still ahve the stock engine is becuase they wanted more then 10-12#'s of boost and wanted a built block...

Go for it bro...Tim rocks
