Laptop scan tool

I see adds for all those scan tools, but isn't there a program I gan get for my laptop that does the same stuff? I'd think it would be better because you get a REAL screen...plus pretty colors. Anyone hear of anything like this, a good, cheap one?

yeah but wouldnt it be nicer to have a big screen? I don't know, I've never used a tuner, but it seems silly to buy a whole mini computer when you could buy a CD with tuning software. Hmmm...i smell entrepenuership...

The auto tap works great, but for a bit more you could get a tuner that can display about 5x the parameters of the autotap, and tune as well (but it only works for fords). You can display everything from an xcal on a laptop, and thats the way i do it.
