the joys of picking up a another car

Picked up my 2000 gt w/ vortech today. Noticed tonight that the passenger side headlight is dim and the parking light/blinker on that side doesn't work when lights are on but does when they're off. was also wondering if i disconnect the battery will the ecu keep the tune thats set from the sct programmer i have? or do i have to plug that in and load it somehow? thanx for any input.

could be a fuse or a short in the wires.

Ok so i pulled the lights and whatnot and they all look fine. when i turn on the lights the abs light comes on. the fuse was pulled by the previous owner i noticed. There is a splice in the loom a few inches down from the connector on the passenger side light but doesn't look like it's from the ground on that light because the wires in the splice are larger. looks like the ground from the abs and something else. there used to be a ground on this bottom silver bolt on the body in the image.

tried changing bulbs and whatnot. same thing. the right turn signal indicator on the gauge pod stays on when the lights are on. but the parking lights and blinkers work fine when there off. no one else have this problem before?

dunno about the lights, sounds like they were cut and re spliced. ( a hid kit taken off perhaps) but you can undo the battery and your tune will be fine.

thanx for the info HMUSN. as for the lights i think the signal lights and headlight share a common ground on that side so I just need to find that and see whats up. anyone know where it is? or if i can just cut into the ground on the headlight harness and put it on the frame somewhere?

think i got it now. rewired both the spliced grounds to the ground that used to be on the frame works for now!
