Hood PINS!! Installed underneath??
I got an aftermarket hood and thinking I will be better off with hood pins ..seen too many horror stories of hoods flying up on the freeway or track. I am not a big fan of the appearance of hood pins and thinking of installing them underneath the hood and attach under so they cannot be seen. Has anyone done this successfully ? Here is another thread that has the idea I was thinking about.

+1, I don't know what everyone sees in hood pins. I like what the guy with the blue cobra did, I just hope it provides the same protection

Kelly (blue cobra) got that idea from me (kinda see it in my sig). Its holds just fine. As long as there is a spot near the latch that is raised and you can align a section that the pin can go through on the car that will hold if the latch fails then your fine.
This hood pin style setup has seen over 140+ traps so I think it works.

I have faith in the Kaenen hood on my car, but am a FIRM believer in Murphy's Law. I watched a couple of friends lose their hoods. Mine lifts slightly in the corners. I ordered some black ones so they will blend in better.
Bitemark, that is a slick idea of yours!

When you said "underneath" I thought you meant this product from WMS in Canada.
