throw out bearing and pressure plate question
i replaced my whole clutch kit 3 months ago, about a month ago i heard my throw out bearing chirping, now its going crazy, my radio can no longer drown out the noise, my question is since i have a spec stage 2 clutch kit installed right now can i use a centerforce Throw-out Bearing and Pressure plate or do i have to use SPEC?

I have a spec stage 2 also man and when my throwout bearing went I mean it went lol. It used to just kind of make a spinning noise then after a nice patch one day I left off the clutch and bam it started squeaking and scratching and going crazy. If your bearing had a few miles on it like mine did it happened not long after I put in my new setup. So I just bought a throwout bearing from mustangs unlimited and shes been grabbing and tearing ever since
It is a process but worth it when it's done.

The spec TO are junk...use a Ford TO.
On swapping pressure plates I would keep them the same.

I'm pretty sure mine was from timken also. When I put my T/O in I also had installed my adjustable clutch kit from steeda. It was very stiff after but thats because my fork was in to far and the leverage was wrong because it wasn't in the right spot lol until it just popped into place then it was fine everything else was smooth sailing.

I've used TimKins in all my mustangs. The one time I didnt (just last time) bit me. The shitty tob started squeaking and vibrating the pedal so bad it was banging against the firewall and loud. I just had the clutch replaced with a TimKin bearing last weekend to fix it. Old one lasted from September to Last weekend
. I also used a TimKin pilot bearing and I'd swear I could feel the difference with the different parts and another clutch kid of the same brand. Pedal effort went down, vibration through the pedal is almost 100% gone now, and I'm happy again
