You need to pick one that's more important to you.

Tires that are gonna hook off the line have soft sidewalls and are usually run at relatively low pressure.
Tires that are gonna be good for the twisties have stiff sidewalls and are usually run at much higher pressure.
The better a tire grips, the softer the compound, and the less miles you'll get out of 'em; a grippy tire does not fare well on a daily driver (case in point: I'll be shocked to see 5,000 miles from my RA1s).

You're gonna have to compromise performance in one arena for performance in another.

NT-05 is a handling tire, so it'll have pretty stiff sidewalls. It's the tire I'd pick of the two, and I don't drag race... at all... ever.

The NT-05 info can be found ***HERE*** so will be your reading assignment for today.

You will also need to consider the seasonal issues such as snow and Winter temps with softer tires. If you DON'T plan on running your car in the snow, sounds like it is a Summer only ride...?, these would be a nice choice. I could also recommend the NT-555 for a little more comfortable ride, a bit less noise and some additional life. If you run in the snow/ice you need tires capable of dealing with these conditions as freezing temps can be a bad thing for softer tires.

If you want to go Summer only and focus on twisties , look at tires in the lower UTQG ratings. The NT-05 is a 200 while the NT-555 is 300. I am VERY strongly considering the Advan A048 for my next pair of shoes and is a 60 UTQG. I will be happy to get a full Summer of DD and HPDE's. I would probably not recommend them for a ride in NJ though
