Need new alternater?!?!?!?!?!

hey guys i think my alternater just went out. Do you know if there is a difference between the different voltages and if there is do they make that much a difference? also what would be the best place to get one cuz i know americanmucle.com has some.

just get a stocker from a local auto parts store unless your running a huge amp and a couple subs....the higher amperage ones are way more expensive and not worth it otherwise

I have one that has about 30-40k miles on it and should work fine. I recently replaced my battery and alt with aftermarket ones.
