what year and such. when a dealership replaces the "fuel pump" it comes with everything hence the "module" they call it. if you want to go aftermarket then you can replace just the pump. go with a bigger one. i dont know what kinda mods you have or want, so you can either go with
a factory size pump or larger. But yes, you need to drop the tank anyways.

98 is a weird year. I would suggest you go to a dealership or parts store and get the entire thing. they dont have aftermarket pumps for these years. Inline ones yes, pumps no.

HEY, sorry to hear about your pump problems....I work at..lets just say..its not the blue oval...but the competition and I change about 4 pumps a month...the dealership will charge you for the whole unit and unless it's a pick-up truck they have to drop the whole gas tank. It only takes about an hour to do the job.....but....at a dealership they can charge you around 2-4 hours depending on the tech........well any was
if you plan on upgrading your engine i would go with a bigger and better aftermarket pump.... hope this helps and if you need and more info just let me know.. and yessssssssssss I luv stangs...........just because i work for the other brand don't mean shit!!!!! |

Modules are common these days. Do it the right way is the only advice I have for you.
